Diagnostic

Our in-house lab services help us accurately diagnose and treat your pet's health conditions.

Our clinic is equipped with in-house laboratory services to provide an efficient and further understanding of your pet’s health. Diagnostics may be recommended after we go through a thorough history and physical examination of your pet. These diagnostics are a tool for our team to gain more information about your pet’s health and to further formulate a treatment plan as needed. Bloodwork is available for general screening of senior animals, animals with illnesses, pre-surgical health assessments, or to provide monitoring for chronic conditions.

Why are blood tests important for my cat’s or dog’s health?

Performing screening laboratory tests help determine what is normal for your pet and set a baseline for changes over their lifetime or during illness. Blood tests, especially during times of illness, can be used to identify certain infections, diseases and other vital information about your pet, such as their immune response and hydration.

How long does it take to get blood test results?

In-house blood test results are usually generated within 1 to 2 hours. Tests sent to a laboratory take about 2 to 3 business days but may take longer depending on the kind of test conducted.

How often should blood tests be done?

Testing protocols are established as part of a health exam for your pet. The frequency of blood tests depends on a case by case basis. Feel free to reach out to our team if you have any concerns about your pet’s health and well-being.

Does your hospital perform urinalysis and biopsy?

Yes. We perform both of these procedures. Please contact us for more details about these services.
