Dr. Katya Melnick

I grew up in Pinawa, Manitoba on the Winnipeg River where I obtained a love for nature and the outdoors. I received my Bachelor of Science in Agriculture at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg before completing my veterinary degree in 2019 at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon. After graduation, I spent a year working at a small animal general practice and emergency/specialty clinic in Lake Country, BC.

I have now settled down in Canmore and am enjoying getting to know everyone and their pets. I have particular interests in nutrition, wellness, emergency medicine, and working with clients to find a solution for their pet’s problems together. When I’m not in the clinic you can usually find me on the mountain bike trails, on the chairlift, or in the back-country.
